Due to the water leak of the E. Monroe Water line, Nashville Municipal Utility customers from Belmont to 2099 SR 46 W area are under a Boil Water Order. 

Areas included are: Somerset Lake, Yellowwood, Cardinal Dr, Bambi Ln, Knight's Corner, Hickory Hill Drive, Mockingbird Lane, Cowboy Way to 2099 SR 46 West.

February 23 - September 7, 2018 - Water Meter Changes

The Town of Nashville has contracted with Reed and Sons Construction Company to change all  water meters to become radio reading meters.  The contractor will be working on this project for approximately the next month. 

Customers will see employees from Reed and Sons Const. Company completing this work.  The employees will be driving red trucks with utility beds, and will be wearing high visibility clothing and hard hats. 

Customers can expect a 3-10 minute interruption in water service during this time.  Commercial customers will be changed during slow business periods, either in the morning or off peak times.

April 23 - September 7, 2018 - Water Line Replacement

Contractors for the Town of Nashville will start replacing the water line on Freeman Ridge south to Greasy Creek, starting Monday, April 23, 2018.  This project will be completed at the end of August or early September 2018.

Contractors will be working (10) hour days, Monday- Thursday.

During the time of replacing the water line, contractors will also be hooking up existing service lines to the new line for our customers along with installing two (2) hydrants.

For those customers who have septic lines that run under Freeman Ridge, we ask that you contact the Town Administration at 812-988-5526 for locating purposes.

During the project, anyone north of the project on Freeman Ridge are asked to use Bear Wallow Road for entering/existing your property.

We appreciate your patience during this project.  At times you may experience intermittent road closures.

Administration

Town Manager Scott Rudd, Town Utility Manager Sean Cassiday, Administration Manager Phyllis Carr, and Customer Care Specialist Mary Beth Fisher are responsible for overseeing affairs of the Nashville Town government. Contact them for administrative questions such as: requesting new utility hook-ups, getting existing utility lines located, problems with your utility service, or possible Ordinance violations in Nashville. The Water Utility and Wastewater Treatment Plant is headed by Robin Willey, Facility Supervisor.

Utility Billing

The Nashville Utilities billing cycle begins with meter reading beginning around the 12th of the month.  Bills are mailed on the 3rd of each month. Payments are due on or before the 20th of each month and on the 21st, penalties are added. If payments are not made in full on or before the 20th of the following month, the service will be disconnected. New Accounts

In order to start new service with Nashville Municipal Utilities you must complete the New Account Form, provide a copy of your state issued ID and deposit of $75. You may e-mail the completed form and ID to Billing Clerk Sharon Crabtree at scrabtree@townofnashville.org, or mail to Town of Nashville, PO Box 446, Nashville, IN 47448 or come to our office at 200 Commercial Street, Nashville, IN 47448. We accept cash, check, money orders or you may pay with a credit card with an added fee. For credit card usage see the information below. Utility Payment Options

There are several ways you can pay your water bill:

1. You can drop it off at the Nashville Municipal Utilities in the Clerk-Treasurer’s Office or in the drop box located in the front of the Town Hall located at 200 Commercial Street. We accept cash, check, money order or credit card (Visa, MasterCard or Discover ONLY).

2. You can mail a check to the Nashville Municipal Utilities, PO Box 446, Nashville, Indiana 47448).

3. Set up a monthly automatic withdrawal. Sign-up forms are available at the Clerk-Treasurer’s Office or click here for an applicationPlease remember to include a voided check.

4. Pay Online: This is setup through your bank – Bill Payment. Your bank will mail us a check – this is NOT electronic. Your payment is usually received about 7-10 days after it is setup to pay. Our address is: Nashville Municipal Utilities, PO Box 446, Nashville, Indiana 47448. Please include your utility account number on your check.

5. You may also pay your utility bill with a credit card in our office, or online at PayGov.US, or by calling PayGov at 1-866-480-8552. There is a service charge for using this service.

Account Deposit
Each user shall pay an account deposit of $75.00 prior to providing services.

Additional Charges for Water Taps
The basic charge for a 5/8" meter tap shall be $1,200.00.

Additional Charges for Sewer Hook-Ups

  • Sewer Hook-up (5/8" residential meter) $2,000.00
  • Simplex pumping station (Lift Station), single family residences and small businesses serviced by a 5/8" water meter $6,200.00
  • Simplex pump stations, maintained by the Town and serviced by a 5/8" water meter shall have a monthly fee of $8.44 added to the monthly base rate.
