Join us on Friday, April 21 and/or Saturday, April 22 (Earth Day) to plant 900 native trees/shrubs along Clay Lick Creek to help reduce erosion. Rain dates will be Friday, April 28 (Arbor Day) and Saturday, April 29.

Join us on Friday, April 21 and/or Saturday, April 22 (Earth Day) to plant 900 native trees/shrubs along Clay Lick Creek to help reduce erosion. Rain dates will be Friday, April 28 (Arbor Day) and Saturday, April 29. 

  • Location: CYO Camp Rancho Framasa, 2230 Clay Lick Rd, Nashville, IN 47448

  • No experience needed. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old.

  • Holes will be pre-dug by machine, and volunteers will work in pairs to plant a 1-3 gallon container tree/shrub in each hole, fill in the loose soil, and place a plastic deer browse guard around each plant, attaching each guard to a stake.

  • Parking is available on-site; carpooling is encouraged.

  • What to wear/bring: BYOG (Bring your own gloves). Wear shoes or boots that can get muddy, and dress for the weather. If you have a shovel to use for filling the holes, please bring it. Remember to LABEL your tools.
